SUMMARY:Introduction to Foot and Ankle Assessment\, Treatment and Semi-Custom Orthotic Prescription
DESCRIPTION:This course will sell out. Claim your spot now.\n\n\n\nThe foot and ankle set the foundation for the entire kinetic chain—yet they’re often under-assessed and under-treated. \n\n\n\nThis hands-on course is designed to help clinicians confidently evaluate\, treat\, and prescribe semi-custom orthotics by understanding foot and ankle biomechanics and alignment. You’ll move beyond theory and into practical application through live assessment\, treatment labs\, and orthotic fabrication. \n\n\n\nTo maximize hands-on time\, participants will complete pre-course learning covering essential anatomy and biomechanics. During the live course\, lectures are concise and immediately reinforced through lab-based application—so you leave ready to implement what you’ve learned the very next clinic day. \n\n\n\nAttending this course will: \n\n\n\n\nDeepen your understanding of how foot and ankle mechanics influence the entire kinetic chain\n\n\n\nImprove your ability to assess and treat common foot and ankle dysfunctions\n\n\n\nBuild confidence in selecting and prescribing semi-custom orthotics\n\n\n\nGain hands-on experience fabricating orthotics you can immediately apply in practice\n\n\n\n\nSo that we can get down to business during the live course\, we will provide pre-course work focused on foot and ankle anatomy and biomechanics. Once we are together\, the lecture will be coupled with hands-on lab sessions to reinforce and demonstrate practical applications of the course content to elevate the quality of your patient care and ensure you can provide effective treatments when you return to patient care on Monday. \n\n\n\nSCROLL DOWN TO REGISTER \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAZ APTA CEU approved\, CEUL154806\, 6 CEUsBOC CEU approved\, 6 CEUs \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLogistics\n\n\n\nWhen:Saturday\, April 18\, 20268:00 AM – 1:30 PMPre-course work will be delivered electronically\, no later than two weeks prior to the course \n\n\n\nCost: $250 (orthotics + materials included)CEUs: 6 approved by the APTA for Physical Therapists and BOC for Athletic TrainersCapacity: The class size is limited to 20 participants. After we reach 20 participants\, we will close registration and open a waiting list.Bonus: Semi-custom orthotics fabricated during the course \n\n\n\nWhere:Spooner Sports Institute5750 S. 32nd St.Phoenix\, AZ 85040 \n\n\n\n\n\nMeet Your InstructorReal-world foot & ankle expertise you can apply immediately\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJohn Kline\, PT\, DPT\, CSCS\, FAFSFoot & Ankle Biomechanics | Orthotic Prescription | Lower-Extremity Performance \n\n\n\nJohn is an experienced outpatient clinician specializing in foot and ankle assessment\, treatment\, and semi-custom orthotic prescription. He works daily with active adults and athletes where foot mechanics directly influence knee\, hip\, and low-back outcomes. \n\n\n\nThis course was built from real clinical reps—not theory. Every assessment\, treatment strategy\, and orthotic decision taught in this course reflects what John uses in practice with real patients under real-world time constraints. \n\n\n\nRather than focusing on generic foot posture or static measurements\, the course emphasizes clinical decision-making—helping you understand when the foot is the driver\, what to address\, and how to confidently prescribe orthotics that actually support movement and performance. \n\n\n\nSCROLL DOWN TO REGISTER \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nREGISTER TODAY!\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n Δ\n \n \n\n \n \n Step 1 of 2\n \n \n 50%\n \n \n URLThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Contact InfoName(Required)\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone(Required)Email(Required)\n \n Shoe Size(Required)For your custom orthotics How did you hear about this course?(Required)EmailSocial MediaSearch engineA Spooner EmployeeOther\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Register Now(Required)\n \n \n Price:\n \n \n \n Credit Card\n American ExpressDiscoverMasterCardVisaSupported Credit Cards: American Express\, Discover\, MasterCard\, Visa\n \n Card Number\n \n \n Expiration Date\n \n \n Month\n \n Month010203040506070809101112\n \n \n \n Year\n \n Year20262027202820292030203120322033203420352036203720382039204020412042204320442045\n \n \n \n \n \n                                                 \n Security Code\n \n \n \n Cardholder Name

SUMMARY:Advanced Neurologic Dry Needling for Pain Management and Performance Enhancement
DESCRIPTION:Description \n\n\n\nThe Advanced Neurologic Dry Needling for Pain Management and Performance Enhancement certification course (3 days) is designed for licensed healthcare professionals who have the desire to elevate their treatment of neuromusculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. This one-of-a-kind course provides original information that can only be acquired through our institute. The participant will be provided with a deeper understanding of the physiologic and therapeutic effects of dry needling. Negative effects of neurogenic inflammation and microcirculation abnormalities will be discussed\, enhancing participants’ understanding of applying dry needling using the peripheral nerve mapping concept. Emphasis is placed on nerve entrapments\, compression\, and areas of irritation that drive the resultant trigger points commonly seen in clinical practice. Advanced neurological and musculoskeletal concepts and needling techniques will be presented and practiced to address these dysfunctions in this primarily lab-based course.  The integration of electrical nerve stimulation (ENS) will be emphasized as an important adjunct to dry needling treatment.  Focus is on assuring safe and effective advanced dry needling skills with sound clinical decision-making. \n\n\n\nPrerequisite: Completion of the IDN Neurologic Dry Needling for Pain Management & Sports Rehabilitation Course. \n\n\n\nPurpose \n\n\n\nThe purpose of the Advanced Neurologic Dry Needling Course is to obtain advanced clinical decision-making and confidence to assess and treat all neuromusculoskeletal conditions.  Upon successful completion of the Advanced course\, the IDN participant is elevated to a Certified Integrative Dry Needling practitioner (CIDN).   Participants are required to complete a pre-course multiple-choice assessment based on the foundation course material and clinically relevant questions. At the conclusion of the Advanced course\, participants are required to pass a practical certification examination based on a clinical case study demonstrating clinical reasoning and decision-making related to the Advanced course concepts. A passing score of 80% is required to be considered Certified in Integrative Dry Needling (CIDN). \n\n\n\nContent \n\n\n\nThis is all original content that can only be acquired through the IDN institute. \n\n\n\n\nAdvanced dry needling techniques for prevention\, pain management\, and optimizing human performance.\n\n\n\nUnderstanding of the anatomy\, neurology\, and physiology of microcirculation\, soft tissue healin\,g and remodeling.  \n\n\n\nClinical techniques for examination and management of peripheral nerve inflammation\, radiculopathy\,  and neuromuscular dysfunction\,\n\n\n\nAssessment of imbalance of the neuromusculoskeletal system and dry needling techniques for rebalancing homeostasis\,\n\n\n\nPre and post-symptom treatment in athletic performance\,\n\n\n\nHow peripheral nervous system inflammation influences musculoskeletal dysfunction and how to manage it with Integrative Dry Needling\n\n\n\nReview of evidence-based research data. \n\n\n\n\nCOURSE HOURS: \n\n\n\nFriday – 7:30 am registration – Course: 8:00 am to 6:00pmSaturday – 8:00 am to 6:00 pmSunday – 8:00 am to 4-5:00 pm

SUMMARY:From Fatigue to Performance: Understanding Running Economy and Gait Mechanics
DESCRIPTION:COMPLETE THE RSVP FORM BELOW TO SAVE YOUR SPOT. LIMITED TO 75 LIVE PARTICIPANTS \n\n\n\nLearn how gait mechanics\, movement efficiency\, and running economy influence fatigue\, performance\, and injury risk—and discover practical strategies you can immediately apply in training and clinical practice. \n\n\n\nHow does fatigue change movement\, performance\, and injury risk—and what can we do about it as sports medicine clinicians?\n\n\n\nJoin us on Saturday July 11th from 9-10 am at the Spooner Sports Institute to learn more. \n\n\n\nRunning economy is one of the most studied markers of endurance performance and provides valuable insight into how fatigue influences athletic movement. As fatigue accumulates during training and competition\, athletes often experience measurable changes in biomechanics\, movement efficiency\, and physiological performance. This presentation will explore the current evidence surrounding fatigue-induced changes in running economy and gait mechanics as a model for understanding broader fatigue-related adaptations in sport. \n\n\n\nAttendees will learn from sports physiologists and gain a deeper understanding of how fatigue affects movement efficiency and performance\, which biomechanical metrics appear most sensitive to performance decline\, and how lessons learned from endurance runners can be applied across athletic populations to inform training and rehabilitation.  \n\n\n\nAfter this session\, attendees will be able to:\n\n\n\n\nExplain the key factors that influence running economy\n\n\n\nIdentify common gait mechanics associated with increased energy cost\n\n\n\nRecognize movement patterns that may contribute to fatigue and injury\n\n\n\nApply practical coaching and clinical strategies to improve running efficiency\n\n\n\nTranslate current evidence into real-world athlete care\n\n\n\n\nWho Should Attend?\n\n\n\nPhysical Therapists\, Athletic Trainers\, Physical Therapist Assistants\, Sports Medicine Physicians\, Running Coaches\, Strength & Conditioning Professionals\, Students Interested in Sports Medicine \n\n\n\nAthletic Trainers: Better understand the relationship between biomechanics\, workload\, fatigue\, and injury risk. \n\n\n\nPhysical Therapists: Explore current evidence and clinical applications related to running gait and economy. \n\n\n\nStrength & Conditioning Professionals + Running Coaches: Gain practical insights to help athletes move more efficiently and perform at a higher level. \n\n\n\nApproved for: 1 Cat A Con Ed for ATs\, Cat B for PTs \n\n\n\nMeet the Speakers\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAlexa Lobato: Alexa Lobato\, MS\, is the Head Performance Physiologist at Human Powered Health. Prior to joining Human Powered Health in 2024\, she worked in collegiate and professional sports\, including Major League Soccer\, before founding Optimum Athletics\, a mobile human performance assessment company born from her passion for making comprehensive\, data-driven performance testing more accessible. Her experience spans everyone from beginner youth athletes to elite competitors and active adults\, with a background that bridges research\, rehabilitation\, and performance. \n\n\n\nOutside of work\, Alexa has always been drawn to strength training\, with the weight room serving as the foundation of her own fitness journey. Since moving to Arizona and joining Human Powered Health\, she has developed a growing appreciation for endurance sports. As both a strength athlete and beginner endurance athlete\, she values the unique challenges and rewards that different forms of physical activity provide and believes movement is a powerful tool. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCarson Gantzer: Carson Gantzer\, CSCS is a Performance Physiologist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist at Human Powered Health with experience working with general population and athletes ranging from youth soccer players to professional combat sport athletes.
