SUMMARY:Neurologic Dry Needling for Pain Managment & Sports Rehabilitation
DESCRIPTION:Neurological Dry Needling for Pain Management & Sports Rehabilitation (Foundation course) \n\n\n\nThis comprehensive 3-day foundation course equips participants with the essential knowledge\, safety protocols\, and clinical skills required to effectively assess and deliver dry needling treatments for painful neuromuscular conditions. Unlike other programs that separate the body into upper and lower regions\, requiring multiple courses\, our approach enables you to treat the entire body after one course. \n\n\n\nOur system is built on the principles of Neurological Dry Needling\, emphasizing soft tissue needling techniques that aim to normalize neurogenic inflammation\, improve microcirculation\, and reduce soft tissue guarding. We utilize a peripheral nerve mapping model\, which provides a logical and systemic approach\, allowing practitioners to needle not just the muscles\, but the entire neurological system. \n\n\n\nParticipants will practice a variety of needling techniques\, including superficial needling\, rotation\, and pistoning\, with a focus on the proper indications for each. Our approach targets all sensory-innervated structures\, such as tendons and ligaments\, while integrating electrical nerve stimulation. This comprehensive approach ensures a broad range of safe and effective treatment options for clinical application. \n\n\n\nPURPOSE \n\n\n\nThe purpose of the Neurologic Dry Needling for Pain Management and Sports Rehabilitation Course is to obtain knowledge and clinical skills necessary to diagnose and treat soft tissue pain and dysfunction.  This 3-day applied-learning course combines interactive lectures and practical hands-on labs. Students participate in several practical sessions\, which are intended to provide feedback to students regarding their comprehension of the key concepts and needling techniques. These practical lab sessions enable students to critically self-evaluate if additional instruction or self-study is needed for clinical competency. \n\n\n\nCONTENT \n\n\n\nThe Neurologic Dry Needling for Pain Management and Sport Rehabilitation course covers: \n\n\n\n\nMultiple dry needling insertion techniques are practiced that range from basic to advanced\, with a majority of them being virtually pain-free.\n\n\n\nDetailed\, tried and tested needling safety techniques and contraindications for dry needling therapy to avoid human error in clinical practice.\n\n\n\nModifiable dry needling system that easily adapts to clinical practice and to the specific needs of each patient.\n\n\n\nSystemic Homeostatic trigger point concept that addresses the physiological\, neurologic\, and mechanical aspects of pain and dysfunction.\n\n\n\nParavertebral neuro-trigger points addressing the postural and viscero-somatic connections\n\n\n\nSymptomatic neuro-trigger points that highlight the neuro-myofa\n\n\n\n\nLEARNING OBJECTIVES \n\n\n\n\nCorrectly identify and apply proper precautions related to bloodborne pathogens in the clinical practice of dry needling therapy from the course pre-reading.\n\n\n\nIndependently identify and apply dry needling to each of the three types of trigger points (homeostatic\, paravertebral\, and symptomatic) in a given case study.\n\n\n\nIntegrate the physiological mechanisms of needling when developing a treatment plan for a given musculoskeletal condition.\n\n\n\nDiscuss the prevention and management of adverse responses to dry needling based on OSHA requirements with 100% accuracy during the case study.\n\n\n\nIndependently apply dry needling treatment safely into musculoskeletal neuro-trigger points during lab sessions.\n\n\n\nIndependently evaluate and treat soft tissue and neurogenic dysfunctions relating to a given neuromusculoskeletal condition.\n\n\n\nCorrectly defend the IDN system for treatment of musculoskeletal pain based on the unique neurology and physiology of neuro-trigger points.\n\n\n\nIndependently integrate the IDN system into the participant’s physical therapy practice in relation to current clinical guidelines.\n\n\n\n\nUSE THE CODE: IDNADVANCED200 to get $200 OFF!

SUMMARY:Strength Training for Longevity: The Missing Piece of Aging Well
DESCRIPTION:This event has reached its capacity!\n\n\n\nPlease join the waitlist below to be informed of potential openings and future events. \n\n\n\nAs physical therapists\, we do an excellent job reducing pain and restoring movement—but maintaining those gains over the long term requires more than therapy alone. \n\n\n\nOne of the strongest predictors of independence\, fall prevention\, and long-term quality of life as we age is muscle strength. Without it\, even successful rehabilitation outcomes can slowly fade. \n\n\n\nThis free educational seminar is designed to bridge the gap between physical therapy and long-term strength\, confidence\, and independence. \n\n\n\nSEMINAR DETAILS\n\n\n\nWhat This Seminar Covers \n\n\n\nLed by Payson Staats\, a personal trainer who works closely alongside our physical therapy team\, this session focuses on how adults can safely transition from rehabilitation into sustainable\, lifelong strength training. \n\n\n\nDuring this seminar\, you’ll learn: \n\n\n\n\nWhy strength is critical for aging well and maintaining independence\n\n\n\nCommon misconceptions about strength training later in life\n\n\n\nHow strength training differs from physical therapy—and how the two work best together\n\n\n\nHow to build and maintain strength safely\, even with joint pain or a history of injury\n\n\n\nThis is education only—there will be no exercise session and no obligation to participate in training.\n\n\n\n\nWho Should Attend \n\n\n\nThis seminar is especially appropriate for: \n\n\n\n\nCurrent or former physical therapy patients\n\n\n\nAdults who want to protect the progress they’ve made in therapy\n\n\n\nIndividuals looking to reduce the likelihood of recurring pain\, falls\, or future limitations\n\n\n\nAnyone unsure whether strength training is safe for them\n\n\n\nIf you’ve ever wondered “What should I be doing after PT?”—this session is for you.\n\n\n\n\nDate: Friday\, February 27\, 2026Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PMLocation: Spooner Scottsdale – 9097 E. Desert Cove Ave. Suite 110 Scottsdale\, AZ 85260Cost: Free (registration required)Space is limited to ensure a comfortable learning environment. Reserve Your Spot Today! \n\n\n\nThis is a purely educational opportunity we are pleased to offer to our community. We look forward to continuing to support your long-term health\, mobility\, and independence. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPlease join the waitlist to be informed of potential openings and future events.\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n Δ\n \n \n\n \n X/TwitterThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Name\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Email

SUMMARY:Introduction to Foot and Ankle Assessment\, Treatment and Semi-Custom Orthotic Prescription
DESCRIPTION:This course will sell out. Claim your spot now.\n\n\n\nThe foot and ankle set the foundation for the entire kinetic chain—yet they’re often under-assessed and under-treated. \n\n\n\nThis hands-on course is designed to help clinicians confidently evaluate\, treat\, and prescribe semi-custom orthotics by understanding foot and ankle biomechanics and alignment. You’ll move beyond theory and into practical application through live assessment\, treatment labs\, and orthotic fabrication. \n\n\n\nTo maximize hands-on time\, participants will complete pre-course learning covering essential anatomy and biomechanics. During the live course\, lectures are concise and immediately reinforced through lab-based application—so you leave ready to implement what you’ve learned the very next clinic day. \n\n\n\nAttending this course will: \n\n\n\n\nDeepen your understanding of how foot and ankle mechanics influence the entire kinetic chain\n\n\n\nImprove your ability to assess and treat common foot and ankle dysfunctions\n\n\n\nBuild confidence in selecting and prescribing semi-custom orthotics\n\n\n\nGain hands-on experience fabricating orthotics you can immediately apply in practice\n\n\n\n\nSo that we can get down to business during the live course\, we will provide pre-course work focused on foot and ankle anatomy and biomechanics. Every assessment\, treatment strategy\, and orthotic decision taught in this course reflects what John uses in practice with real patients under real-world time constraints. \n\n\n\nRather than focusing on generic foot posture or static measurements\, the course emphasizes clinical decision-making—helping you understand when the foot is the driver\, what to address\, and how to confidently prescribe orthotics that actually support movement and performance. \n\n\n\nSCROLL DOWN TO REGISTER \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nREGISTER TODAY!\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n Δ\n \n \n\n \n \n Step 1 of 2\n \n \n 50%\n \n \n URLThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Contact InfoName(Required)\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone(Required)Email(Required)\n \n Shoe Size(Required)For your custom orthotics How did you hear about this course?(Required)EmailSocial MediaSearch engineA Spooner EmployeeOther\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Register Now(Required)\n \n \n Price:\n \n \n \n Credit Card\n American ExpressDiscoverMasterCardVisaSupported Credit Cards: American Express\, Discover\, MasterCard\, Visa\n \n Card Number\n \n \n Expiration Date\n \n \n Month\n \n Month010203040506070809101112\n \n \n \n Year\n \n Year20262027202820292030203120322033203420352036203720382039204020412042204320442045\n \n \n \n \n \n                                                 \n Security Code\n \n \n \n Cardholder Name

SUMMARY:Advanced Neurologic Dry Needling for Pain Management and Performance Enhancement
DESCRIPTION:Description \n\n\n\nThe Advanced Neurologic Dry Needling for Pain Management and Performance Enhancement certification course (3 days) is designed for licensed healthcare professionals who have the desire to elevate their treatment of neuromusculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. This one-of-a-kind course provides original information that can only be acquired through our institute. The participant will be provided with a deeper understanding of the physiologic and therapeutic effects of dry needling. Negative effects of neurogenic inflammation and microcirculation abnormalities will be discussed\, enhancing participants’ understanding of applying dry needling using the peripheral nerve mapping concept. Emphasis is placed on nerve entrapments\, compression\, and areas of irritation that drive the resultant trigger points commonly seen in clinical practice. Advanced neurological and musculoskeletal concepts and needling techniques will be presented and practiced to address these dysfunctions in this primarily lab-based course.  The integration of electrical nerve stimulation (ENS) will be emphasized as an important adjunct to dry needling treatment.  Focus is on assuring safe and effective advanced dry needling skills with sound clinical decision-making. \n\n\n\nPrerequisite: Completion of the IDN Neurologic Dry Needling for Pain Management & Sports Rehabilitation Course. \n\n\n\nPurpose \n\n\n\nThe purpose of the Advanced Neurologic Dry Needling Course is to obtain advanced clinical decision-making and confidence to assess and treat all neuromusculoskeletal conditions.  Upon successful completion of the Advanced course\, the IDN participant is elevated to a Certified Integrative Dry Needling practitioner (CIDN).   Participants are required to complete a pre-course multiple-choice assessment based on the foundation course material and clinically relevant questions. At the conclusion of the Advanced course\, participants are required to pass a practical certification examination based on a clinical case study demonstrating clinical reasoning and decision-making related to the Advanced course concepts. A passing score of 80% is required to be considered Certified in Integrative Dry Needling (CIDN). \n\n\n\nContent \n\n\n\nThis is all original content that can only be acquired through the IDN institute. \n\n\n\n\nAdvanced dry needling techniques for prevention\, pain management\, and optimizing human performance.\n\n\n\nUnderstanding of the anatomy\, neurology\, and physiology of microcirculation\, soft tissue healin\,g and remodeling.  \n\n\n\nClinical techniques for examination and management of peripheral nerve inflammation\, radiculopathy\,  and neuromuscular dysfunction\,\n\n\n\nAssessment of imbalance of the neuromusculoskeletal system and dry needling techniques for rebalancing homeostasis\,\n\n\n\nPre and post-symptom treatment in athletic performance\,\n\n\n\nHow peripheral nervous system inflammation influences musculoskeletal dysfunction and how to manage it with Integrative Dry Needling\n\n\n\nReview of evidence-based research data. \n\n\n\n\nCOURSE HOURS: \n\n\n\nFriday – 7:30 am registration – Course: 8:00 am to 6:00pmSaturday – 8:00 am to 6:00 pmSunday – 8:00 am to 4-5:00 pm
