Learn from professional coaches at the Chamber’s Wellness Festival! Already an experienced player who never misses a chance to compete? We have your game! This activity will be located inside the YMCA. You must sign up in advance for lessons or game play as space is limited. Here’s what you can expect: \n\n\n\n\nFamily-Friendly Activities:\n\nBounce House\n\n\n\nGaming Truck\n\n\n\nPickleball Games\n\n\n\nAnd the thrilling Fire Truck Pull\, where teams of 12 compete in an epic tug-of-war against a fully loaded Coppell fire truck! There’s even a special pull for the kids\, supervised by the Fire Chief.\n\n\n\n\n\nVendor Booths and Displays: Explore vendor booths and displays from healthcare organizations in and around Coppell. Discover valuable information and resources to support your well-being.\n\n\n\nFood Trucks: Treat yourself to delicious goodies from a variety of food trucks.\n\n\n\nShopping Bag for Guests: Each guest will receive a complimentary shopping bag to collect gifts and goodies (while supplies last).\n\n\n\n\nFire Truck Pull Competition: Test your strength in the ultimate tug-of-war challenge! Teams of 12 will pull the fire truck a set distance\, competing for the best time. The winning team will earn trophies and bragging rights. \n\n\n\n\nIndividual Registration: $20 per person\n\n\n\nTeam Registration: $200 for a team of 12 people\n\n\n\n\nCarter BloodCare Blood Drive: Blood donated with Carter BloodCare goes to patients across North\, Central and East Texas — our friends\, family and neighbors — facing emergencies every day such as older adults with age-related health issues\, mothers experiencing difficulties during childbirth\, major accident and emergency patients\, children with anemia\, and many others who depend on an available community blood supply. Please sign up in advance as time slots are limited.

They are used to improve the healing of broken bones and injured muscles\, tendons\, and ligaments. These products are often made from substances that are naturally found in your body. When they are used in higher concentrations\, they may help speed up the healing process. \n\n\n\nPlatelet-rich plasma therapy\, or PRP therapy. Platelets are components of our own blood that have the ability to promote healing in an area of injury or pain. Platelet-rich plasma therapy\, or PRP therapy\, involves the injection of the patient’s own concentrated source of platelets in order to stimulate the body’s own healing of damaged tissue. PRP therapy does not involve surgery and is typically used to treat arthritis\, muscle sprains\, tears\, ligament issues\, and tendon issues. \n\n\n\nHigh-level athletes have used PRP therapy for many years in order to accelerate healing when dealing with pain or injury. Recent advancements in the field of orthobiologic medicine have made it possible to offer these innovative procedures to all patients who are good candidates. \n\n\n\nRSVP TODAY\n\n\n\nHow does PRP Therapy Work?\n\n\n\nThe procedure begins by obtaining a sample of the patient’s blood. The sample is then placed in a high-spinning centrifuge machine. The spinning separates the blood into different components: red blood cells and plasma. Within the plasma layer are the platelets. After a second spin in the centrifuge\, we concentrate and isolate the platelets.  \n\n\n\nA concentrated source of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is then injected into and around the injured or damaged tissue. The concentrated source of platelets promotes the natural healing of damaged ligaments\, cartilage\, tendons and joints.. \n\n\n\nAt Sellers Sports Medicine\, our PRP is concentrated enough that the patient only needs one injection\, no need for a series of multiple injections for the same treatment.  \n\n\n\nThe entire process takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes.  \n\n\n\nPRP therapy can be used to treat a wide range of conditions and injuries associated with the shoulder\, elbow\, wrist\, hand\, hip\, knee\, ankle\, and foot.
