SUMMARY:Neurologic Dry Needling for Pain Managment & Sports Rehabilitation
DESCRIPTION:Neurological Dry Needling for Pain Management & Sports Rehabilitation (Foundation course) \n\n\n\nThis comprehensive 3-day foundation course equips participants with the essential knowledge\, safety protocols\, and clinical skills required to effectively assess and deliver dry needling treatments for painful neuromuscular conditions. Unlike other programs that separate the body into upper and lower regions\, requiring multiple courses\, our approach enables you to treat the entire body after one course. \n\n\n\nOur system is built on the principles of Neurological Dry Needling\, emphasizing soft tissue needling techniques that aim to normalize neurogenic inflammation\, improve microcirculation\, and reduce soft tissue guarding. We utilize a peripheral nerve mapping model\, which provides a logical and systemic approach\, allowing practitioners to needle not just the muscles\, but the entire neurological system. \n\n\n\nParticipants will practice a variety of needling techniques\, including superficial needling\, rotation\, and pistoning\, with a focus on the proper indications for each. Our approach targets all sensory-innervated structures\, such as tendons and ligaments\, while integrating electrical nerve stimulation. This comprehensive approach ensures a broad range of safe and effective treatment options for clinical application. \n\n\n\nPURPOSE \n\n\n\nThe purpose of the Neurologic Dry Needling for Pain Management and Sports Rehabilitation Course is to obtain knowledge and clinical skills necessary to diagnose and treat soft tissue pain and dysfunction.  This 3-day applied-learning course combines interactive lectures and practical hands-on labs. Students participate in several practical sessions\, which are intended to provide feedback to students regarding their comprehension of the key concepts and needling techniques. These practical lab sessions enable students to critically self-evaluate if additional instruction or self-study is needed for clinical competency. \n\n\n\nCONTENT \n\n\n\nThe Neurologic Dry Needling for Pain Management and Sport Rehabilitation course covers: \n\n\n\n\nMultiple dry needling insertion techniques are practiced that range from basic to advanced\, with a majority of them being virtually pain-free.\n\n\n\nDetailed\, tried and tested needling safety techniques and contraindications for dry needling therapy to avoid human error in clinical practice.\n\n\n\nModifiable dry needling system that easily adapts to clinical practice and to the specific needs of each patient.\n\n\n\nSystemic Homeostatic trigger point concept that addresses the physiological\, neurologic\, and mechanical aspects of pain and dysfunction.\n\n\n\nParavertebral neuro-trigger points addressing the postural and viscero-somatic connections\n\n\n\nSymptomatic neuro-trigger points that highlight the neuro-myofa\n\n\n\n\nLEARNING OBJECTIVES \n\n\n\n\nCorrectly identify and apply proper precautions related to bloodborne pathogens in the clinical practice of dry needling therapy from the course pre-reading.\n\n\n\nIndependently identify and apply dry needling to each of the three types of trigger points (homeostatic\, paravertebral\, and symptomatic) in a given case study.\n\n\n\nIntegrate the physiological mechanisms of needling when developing a treatment plan for a given musculoskeletal condition.\n\n\n\nDiscuss the prevention and management of adverse responses to dry needling based on OSHA requirements with 100% accuracy during the case study.\n\n\n\nIndependently apply dry needling treatment safely into musculoskeletal neuro-trigger points during lab sessions.\n\n\n\nIndependently evaluate and treat soft tissue and neurogenic dysfunctions relating to a given neuromusculoskeletal condition.\n\n\n\nCorrectly defend the IDN system for treatment of musculoskeletal pain based on the unique neurology and physiology of neuro-trigger points.\n\n\n\nIndependently integrate the IDN system into the participant’s physical therapy practice in relation to current clinical guidelines.\n\n\n\n\nUSE THE CODE: IDNADVANCED200 to get $200 OFF!
