About Me:
Holly joined the Spooner Hand Therapy team in December 2013. She gained passion for hand therapy through her specialized courses in anatomy, upper extremity rehabilitation, and splinting while attending Midwestern University. While attending Midwestern University, she had an internship with Spooner Physical Therapy (Phoenix and Northwest Phoenix, Arizona) and was able to train and practice under Ty Pehrson, MOT/L, CHT. Holly received her Certified Hand Therapy credentials in 2017.

Holly has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and was a teacher for three years before continuing her education in Occupational Therapy. She still enjoys working with the pediatric population and enjoys creating enjoyable home exercise programs to help maximize their use of the affected upper extremity. Holly also has experience working with many in-depth and complicated patients suffering from spinal cords injuries and stroke. She strives to “be in the moment” with every patient and maintains a high level communication for each patient’s plan of care and progress. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, playing soccer, hiking, reading, and playing the keyboard.
