I was in PT at the Desert Cove Scottsdale location from January 9 – March 6th, 2023. Torrey Foster was my Physical Therapist and his Assistant was Alexa, both were excellent. I presented with moderate stenosis of the L3-L4-L5 with degenerative disc disease. Almost a year later I’m essentially pain free and still perform back exercises daily.

The only pain I experience now is from the Spooner billing department. It has taken almost a year to have Spooner correctly bill my insurance companies. I finally paid my last payment November 28, 2003 after they misplaced the final check and had to issue a stop check and pay with my credit card. A day later the check was mysteriously found and they are sending me a rebate of the final payment. I’m sure Spooner will blame Medicare and BC/BS and they certainly aren’t perfect but I don’t really experience billing/insurance issues with other medical providers. I’m sure this message won’t be posted but hopefully management at Spooner is made aware of The excellent PT experience I received and on the other hand the significant frustration I experienced from their billing department.

I cant say enough for the help I have been receiving post my major injury. I have been seeing Melissa in OT for 6 weeks with great results. From taping my shoulder to very specific finger, wrist, and forearm taping to help ease some of my nerve pain. She is very knowledgeable and even does extra research to better understand how to treat your injury. Stretching and exercises focused specific to your case. It has been a tough 6 weeks but Melissa has been key on my recovery so far!!

I had a chance to meet Dr. Caleb Owens, PT, DPT, and Jonah at the Desert Ridge site. Caleb is excellent at diagnosing the problem and devising a plan to fix the issue. He is hands-on and spends time assessing the progress and making changes during each visit. Although I thought I might have to live with the problem, I overcame my issue with his help and personal attention during exercises from Jonah (another excellent team member who assists Caleb) within a few weeks. I am glad that I came across Golden Team. I have started recommending them to family and friends already.

After a full knee replacement, it was somewhat difficult to find a physical therapy. facility with openings, but I lucked out. While looking at several options, my daughter told me about her positive experience for my 11-year-old granddaughter at Spooner in Scottsdale, Spooner gladly made time for me to get started so as not to lose time in starting PT.

The physical therapist assigned to me was Krista Zelizney and her exercise tech Hayley Strachey, who I consider the “dynamic duo”. I had trepidation about PT but Krista and Haley have been very effective in my rehabilitation and have also been kind even when doing the “hard stuff” to bring my knee back to normal.

Finally, the entire team at Spooner are great. They are helpful, flexible and friendly. Spooner has made me both a believer in PT and appreciative for providing these exceptional professionals who are also kind, gentle and effective.

I have been a client at the Coppell Texas location since 2012. There has been six different pre and post surgery periods that occurred during the past 13 years that required many therapy sessions. The staff has always been excellent and took the time to explain what they were doing. In my 40’s and 50’s I was a Competitive Power Lifter and hold World and International Titles for Bench Press. During my 60’s and now my mid 70’s it has caught up with me.. The staff has helped me so much following the knee replacement and shoulder surgery. I know that following the up coming knee replacement surgery to the right knee I will be returning to the Coppell location.
