About Me:
Krista Zelizney, PT, DPT was originally born and raised in Canada spending most of her childhood there before moving to the USA in her teenage years spending time all over the states including Florida, Arizona, Mississippi, and New Hampshire. Krista originally attended community college in Phoenix playing junior college soccer before leaving to attend the Disney College Program in Orlando, FL. Krista then went on to attend the University of Mississippi completing her degree in Exercise Science and spending many Saturdays with SEC football games.

Krista pursued her DPT at Florida International University while serving as class president. Krista was able to attend the Herman and Wallace pelvic level 1 course while in school even furthering her passion for Pelvic Rehabilitation. Krista performed internships in many different settings but most enjoyed general orthopedics with a sports training emphasis that focused on the whole-body approach and not just treating the symptoms.

Krista’s love for Pelvic Rehab was something she felt started even at a young girl with the feeling that there was not enough taught about Women’s Health in school and showing females of all ages how important the pelvis and pelvic floor are in relationship to the rest of the body. Krista hopes to treat patients in all spectrums of Women’s Health with an emphasis on the pelvic floor and sexual function as well as helping educate the world on the importance of making Pelvic Rehabilitation function and equally as important and athletic as any other orthopedic conditions. Krista has a general love for orthopedics as well and can’t wait to help patients overcome mental and physical challenges while creating a plan of care that takes the patient into account on a personal level and achieving goals they feel are most important. As a chatty, smiley individual client/patient relationship is something she holds of high value and always enjoys meeting new people.

Outside of Work:
Outside of the clinic Krista enjoys playing pick-up soccer, watching movies (nerding out mostly on Avengers), working out and attending concerts. She loves to spend time with her Australian Shepherd Oakley while watching SEC football on Saturdays.
