About Me

Makenna Sallade was born and raised in Long Beach, California. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish and graduated from Creighton University with her Doctor of Occupational Therapy. Makenna was able to spend multiple clinical rotations in upper extremity rehabilitation, where she found her passion for hand therapy. Makenna also spent time working with individuals with traumatic brain injuries and gained specialized experience with brain and upper extremity functioning. Makenna devoted her doctoral capstone experience to researching the accuracy of provocative tests for carpal tunnel syndrome and providing patient care in clinic.

Outside of the clinic, Makenna enjoys time with family and friends, hiking, camping, and surfing when home in Long Beach.
