About Me
Michael Briones is an internationally trained Occupational Therapist from the Philippines whose diverse professional and cultural background has shaped his holistic approach to care. He not only understands how disability affects every aspect of a person’s life, but also recognizes how cultural values, beliefs, and perspectives influence rehabilitation. This sensitivity makes him a highly effective and sought-after therapist, able to connect with patients from all walks of life.
Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, which enhances his ability to navigate the increasingly complex healthcare landscape. His understanding of healthcare systems, organizational management, and resource allocation allows him to approach patient care with both clinical expertise and strategic insight—ensuring high-quality outcomes while promoting efficiency and collaboration across teams.
With extensive experience in a wide range of clinical settings—including acute hospital care, intensive inpatient rehabilitation, home health, and outpatient clinics—Michael has treated primarily adult and geriatric populations. He specializes in stroke rehabilitation, vestibular disorders, and upper extremity recovery, and his advanced training includes kinesiotaping, physical agent modalities, vestibular rehabilitation, and Neuro-Developmental Therapy (NDT).
Outside the clinic, Michael is an active and adventurous individual who enjoys cycling, mountain biking, and camping. A musician at heart, he plays both the guitar and saxophone. He also has a knack for handyman projects around the house and treasures spending quality time with his wife and their two daughters.
