ATHLETIC TRAINING PANEL: COLLABORATING WITH PHYSICAL THERAPISTS

Stronger collaboration. A more connected return to sport.

Helping an athlete move from rehabilitation back to performance takes communication, shared expectations, and a team working toward the same goal.

Join a panel of local athletic trainers for a conversation about how physical therapists and ATs can work together throughout an athlete’s injury, recovery, and return to sport. Hear what athletic trainers value in their PT partnerships, explore opportunities to bridge gaps in care, and connect with professionals supporting athletes across the Valley.

BUILD STRONGER CONNECTIONS AROUND YOUR ATHLETES

What does an athletic trainer need from a physical therapist during an athlete’s recovery? How can both providers stay connected as the athlete moves between rehabilitation, practice, and competition?

This discussion will explore:

  • What makes a strong PT–AT partnership: Understand what athletic trainers look for when collaborating with physical therapists.
  • Communication throughout recovery: Explore ways to coordinate care and align expectations across different phases of an injury.
  • The transition from rehab to performance: Discuss how PTs and ATs can help bridge the gap between progress in the clinic and the demands of sport.
  • A coordinated return to sport: Learn how shared insight can support decision-making and help athletes prepare for their next step.
