YOUR ROLE AS A SPOONER PELVIC HEALTH THERAPIST

Pelvic health can often be the missing link to the root of a patient’s pain, and there is often a disconnect between pelvic health and the rest of the body. At Spooner, Arizona’s largest physical therapy private practice, pelvic health therapists pride themselves on incorporating a specific knowledge of pelvic health into full-body movement mechanics so that their patients have the best chance of returning to function.

Spooner therapists are committed to utilizing a dynamic and functional approach to help patients overcome functional limitations related to pelvic floor conditions. Both manual therapy techniques and exercise strategies are core to the treatment philosophy. At Spooner, you will not be a typical pelvic health therapist. Our setting is different. It is more dynamic and active than your traditional pelvic health setting. Our pelvic health therapists utilize an integrated approach to address both pelvic health and ortho needs to get patients back to a higher level of function. We strive to work with goal-oriented patients who are excited to push their limits and do the work required to return to full function!

As a Spooner pelvic health therapist, you will have the flexibility, freedom, and support to utilize your skills and experience while embracing the Spooner treatment philosophy. You will be empowered to take the initiative to develop your own practice within a practice and see the types of patients you want to see.

This position offers access to a wide variety of pelvic floor dysfunctions over the course of the lifespan, from pregnancy and postpartum care to post-operative patients. You can also specialize in pediatrics and men’s pelvic health. Your goal will be to treat the patients you want to see but also to maintain a balance to your case load. As a Spooner pelvic health therapist, you believe that a good mix of pelvic floor and general ortho will allow you to develop and flourish as a more well-rounded therapist.
