About Me
Alexis is originally from Ohio, and attended Indiana Wesleyan University (Go Wildcats!) in Marion, IN where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. Throughout her time as an athletic training student, she gained clinical experience working with high school and collegiate athletes in a variety of sports. After taking a gap year to work as a PT technician in a sports medicine clinic, she then attended A.T. Still University (ATSU) in Mesa, AZ where she obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT). During her time at ATSU, she gained experience with an emphasis on whole-person health care in various settings including outpatient orthopedics, pelvic/women’s health, and professional sports that culminated in a terminal clinical internship with the Arizona Diamondbacks. She has since graduated with her DPT, and is now currently undergoing an Orthopedic Residency through ATSU to further specialize in orthopedics.
She has a passion for working with athletes of all ages with a particular interest in overhead athletes, as well as an interest in pelvic health conditions, Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD), Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS), POTS, and concussion rehabilitation.
Outside of the clinic, Alexis enjoys staying active by rock climbing, weight lifting, and walking. She also loves to read, spend time with friends and family, explore new coffee shops, take care of her plant collection, and hang out with her small zoo.
