About Me
Micayla grew up in the Chicago area which is also where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, graduating from Northwestern University in 2026. Prior to this she completed her undergraduate studies in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science at the University of Arizona in 2023, which is where she also discovered her love for the Southwest. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Micayla worked as a physical therapy technician in an outpatient orthopedic clinic, where she gained experience treating patients of all ages and activity levels.
Micayla’s interest in physical therapy began as a young athlete when she underwent rehabilitation following a soccer injury. Experiencing the physical and mental challenges of recovery firsthand inspired her to pursue a career in physical therapy and continues to shape her approach to patient care. Micayla is committed to providing individualized, evidence-based care and empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery. Her goal is to help each person build strength, resilience, and confidence as they return to the activities that matter most to them.
Outside of the clinic, Micayla enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle through training for marathons and other endurance events, lifting weights, and hiking. She loves spending time outdoors, exploring new restaurants with her friends and family, and taking road trips to the beach.
