MEET YOUR PERSONAL TRAINER
at Spooner Scottsdale

Payson Staats, ACE-CPT
My name is Payson Staats and my inspiration for health and fitness comes from afternoons spent lifting weights with my dad in our dusty old garage. Between those workouts and wrestling for 6 years, a passion was ignited in me to develop and maintain healthy habits that would carry me through the rest of my life. My personal training journey began soon after, as various friends asked to work out with me in that same old garage and the drive to help others develop similar healthy habits was born.
After completing two years of missionary service in Lima, Peru, I felt a deeper calling to positively impact the well-being of those around me. While pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Arizona State University, I found an opportunity as a technician at Spooner Scottsdale. Since June 2022, I’ve had the privilege of learning from a diverse team of therapists and working with an incredible range of patients. Watching people progress and achieve their goals continues to be one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
In my role as lead technician in Scottsdale, I’ve worked with collegiate athletes, children, individuals with Parkinson’s, members of the deaf and hard-of-hearing community, and many others. Now, I’m excited to bring that experience full circle as a personal trainer, serving the Scottsdale community and helping my clients improve their well-being, strength, and longevity.
