MEET YOUR PERSONAL TRAINER
at Spooner North Mesa

Abe Hurtado, CSCS, USSF D, FRCms
Abe’s journey as a movement specialist has been shaped by a strong foundation in education and experience. He holds certifications from the NSCA, US Soccer, Functional Range Conditioning, and Precision Nutrition, all of which equip him with a versatile toolbox to optimize athletic performance and promote long-term health.
What truly ignited his passion for personal training was the direct exposure he gained working alongside Spooner physical therapists in the clinical settings. He has had the privilege of supporting and learning from patients across a wide spectrum of needs including post-operative recovery, pediatrics, high school and professional athletes, geriatrics, neurological rehabilitation, pelvic floor therapy, and vestibular rehab. These diverse experiences helped him fine-tune his ability to adapt training strategies to meet each client’s unique goals and needs.
For the past few years, Abe has coached soccer at Red Mountain High School and East Valley NSFC, helping players grow both on and off the field. He brings that same dedication and mindset to personal training, supporting development, building resilience, and fostering lifelong habits for optimal performance.
Abe specializes in creating personalized, habit-based programs that empower clients to move better, feel more confident, and thrive in their daily lives. Whether you’re aiming to return to sport, recover from injury, or simply improve how you move through the world, he is here to guide you with education, motivation, and purpose-driven strategies.
