About Me:
Julie is a North Dakota native who moved to Arizona in 1997. She worked in outpatient physical therapy for several years and then opened her own practice in 2008, which grew to 3 clinics. Her education started in North Dakota at University of North Dakota-Williston, where she played basketball and received her Bachelors in Applied Science. She continued on with her basketball career at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas and obtained her Bachelors in Kinesiological Studies. From there, she continued on at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois where she received her Bachelors in Physical Therapy in 1988.

Julie has worked in outpatient clinics mostly in orthopedics, home health, and then owned her own outpatient orthopedic practice before selling her practice to Spooner Physical Therapy and continuing on as a clinician in September 2016.

Julie has extensive experience with orthopedic patients, geriatrics and athletes – due to her extensive career and involvement in the basketball community in AZ.

Julie’s passion is in working with breast, head & neck, and pelvic cancer patients. Julie obtained her Breast Cancer Certification in October 2016 through the Physiological Oncology Rehabilitation Institute and her PORi Oncology Rehabilitation Specialist Certification in 2023.

Julie thrives when presented with the opportunity to work one-on-one and provide care to breast cancer patients, including not only the physical aspects associated, but all of the emotional and psychological complexities that accompany this diagnosis. She is very focused about demonstrating the empathy and compassion for all of her patients.
