Spooner recognizes that rehabilitation is only a part of the spectrum of movement health. Prevention, performance, and maintenance are equally vital components, each playing a role in optimizing function, reducing risk, and supporting lifelong physical wellness. Welcome to the Performance and Personal Training team of Spooner!

Our team of Personal Trainers and Sports Performances Coaches works with clients of all backgrounds, from beginners to professional athletes, both in-person and remotely.

If we can rehabilitate through therapeutic methods, we can also enhance through targeted training. Our Personal Trainers & Sport Performance Coaches work alongside our therapy professionals to understand the needs of clients potentially transitioning from therapy and are looking to take the next step into training. Being engrained into our clinics, our team of trainers have exposure and experience in adapting to the needs and complexities of those with medical conditions and considerations.

PREVENTION

Just as routine dental visits help prevent oral health issues, proactive musculoskeletal care plays a crucial role in identifying and addressing potential movement dysfunctions before they become serious. Our Performance and Personal Training team utilize comprehensive movement screenings, sport-specific assessments, and biomechanical analysis to craft individualized exercise programs that support long-term physical well-being.

PERFORMANCE

Athletes striving for peak performance can rely on our Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists® to design and deliver personalized programs aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, speed, power, and endurance, either for recreational play or elite competition.

GUIDANCE

We understand the challenges associated with exercise. Equipment can be confusing, and exercise selection can be overwhelming. Our team can help develop an exercise plan for you to follow given your specific needs, either directly guided by us, or on your own, along with the education along the way.

One-on-One Training

Our team offers sessions in 30, 45, or 60 minute intervals depending on your needs.

Small Group/Semi-Private Training

Enjoy working out with a partner, or other athletes? We offer semi-private training options, and small-group (4-6) training seasonally in select locations.

Large Group Training

Offered at the Spooner Sports Institute, take advantage of our 4,700 sq ft indoor turf and 4,000 sq ft of strength and conditioning equipment with year-round group training for football, baseball, and high school specific athletes.

Remote Training & Programming

With the Spooner Training App, our team can work with you remotely to provide exercise prescription and programming centered to your own training environment and equipment.

FAQs

No! Performance & Personal Training clients are open for all individuals deemed medically appropriate.

While our Personal Trainers are very skilled, a medical script is directed for therapy, which likely is not appropriate for Personal Training. We would encourage you to utilize the script for physical therapy and discuss options to supplement with a Personal Trainer from there.

Personal training is rarely covered by standard insurance plans; however, we encourage you to review your benefits to explore what options are available to you. HSA cards are additionally of the responsibility of the client/patient to look into what benefits are covered and if personal training is an acceptable expense, along with what conditions needs to be met.
